Dear Humanity,

A little bit fearfully, even though inevitably, I’m starting to share with you my thoughts and feelings about, well, you. You, dear Humanity, occupy my mind constantly. Every day, you show me both how magnificent and dreadful, how caring and narcissistic, how intelligent and ignorant you can be. You make me wonder, you make me smile, you make me suffer, you make me cry. And at the end of the day, I always realize that exactly your complexity and variety are the aspects of your existence that fascinate me the most, that inspire me the most. So, I thought that it would only be natural for me to start expressing and sharing with you what I think and how I feel about you. I will try to be balanced, not harsh. Fair, but firm. I’ll try to show you how I see your (actually our) problems and what solutions I think are needed to solve those problems. I will mock you, cheer you, laugh at you, be angry with you. I will write about you in all seriousness, only to then ironise you to the best of my abilities. I will check out your fun side from time to time too.

All in all, dear Humanity, I want to engage with you more than I’ve ever done until now. There is the possibility (actually, it is a certainty) that you would swallow me, try to smash me, squeeze me and spit me out. I am well aware of that. But you, Humanity, you make my head spin every day. And that is what makes me feel I am ready for all your viciousness and anger. Because I am sure that alongside I’ll find love, hope and faith in a better version of you. So then, off I jump in the deepest of waters!
